Common questions

Is there a user guide?

Yes. Start here: RinkPulse User Guide. It explains starting a workout, finding speed/distance and shifts, goalie mode, Android sync, and what to try when a session does not import.

How do I get speed, distance, and shifts?

Start a RinkPulse workout on the watch, then move through the in-game pages. DOWN or swipe down/left goes to the next page on current builds. Speed and distance are on the Speed & Distance page. Shift count and work/rest are on the Shifts page.

My session is not syncing to Android

First update both apps: RinkPulse on the Garmin watch from Connect IQ, and RinkPulse Companion on Android from Google Play or the current test link. Then open Garmin Connect Mobile and confirm the watch is connected. Open RinkPulse Companion, wait for the Garmin sync card, and tap Retry. If it still does not import, open RinkPulse on the watch to the main mode-select screen and tap Retry again in the Android app. More details are in the sync guide.

My Android history disappeared

Update RinkPulse Companion before doing anything else. Do not uninstall the app, clear app storage, switch install sources, or move between phone profiles while troubleshooting. Open the Android app once after updating so it can prepare its local history backup. If the app opens, go to Profile, then Data & Sync, and use Export support diagnostics.

How do I delete cloud account data?

In RinkPulse Companion, go to Profile, then Data & Sync, tap Delete account data, then Confirm delete data. If you cannot open the app, use the data deletion page to request deletion by email.

The watch didn't detect my shifts

Make sure the heart-rate sensor is on and the watch is snug. Shift detection uses motion, speed or distance evidence when available, and short heart-rate context. Short shifts and unusual bench changes can be harder to classify.

How do I install the watch app?

Use the Garmin Connect IQ link from the home page or search for "RinkPulse" in Connect IQ. You will need a compatible Garmin watch that supports Connect IQ watch apps.

How do I install the Android app?

The Android companion is local-first and is being prepared for broader Play distribution. If you want to help test the Android beta, send your Google Play email address, Garmin watch model, Android phone model, and what kind of skate you can test.

iPhone / Apple Watch?

Not yet. Maybe. No timeline.

Email rinkpulsesupport@gmail.com. Include your watch model, phone model, what you expected, what happened, whether the session came from the watch or was entered manually, and the Android diagnostics export if RinkPulse Companion can open.
